About the role

This role will report to the Head of Software. In this role, you will hold the following responsibilities:

• Help shape Ampersand’s digital products.

• Deliver performant and scalable systems that meet security and observability standards, and release high-quality deliverables on time.

• Troubleshoot & debug malfunctions of software applications and related systems to resolve operational issues and restore services​​.

• Perform and thrive in an environment where your work can change rapidly in response to customer feedback and data.

• Coordinate with other engineering teams to ensure synergy between hardware and software products

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Python, Go, C/C++, Java, C#, JavaScript.

• Experience with Observability and monitoring of backend systems.

• Experience supporting and developing tooling software

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools; CI/CD pipelines on Gilab, Jenkins or Github Actions

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Python and Golang

• Experience with Postgres and Timeseries databases

• Experience with Observability and Monitoring of backend systems

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and the toolings around it

• Experience with Azure, GCP and/or AWS cloud environments

• (Bonus) MLOps experience
