RSSB is Rwanda’s national social security institution, mandated by law to manage multiple social protection schemes including pension, occupational hazard insurance, medical insurance (including CBHI), maternity leave benefits, and the long‑term savings scheme (“EjoHeza”). The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) is recruiting a Branch Manager to oversee and lead all operations at the branch level. This role is ideal for a dynamic, innovative, and strategic professional passionate about public service, social security, and driving organizational transformation. The Branch Manager will coordinate staff, manage branch operations, ensure compliance, support strategic initiatives, and foster partnerships within the district.
The role reports to the Head of Branch Coordination and plays a central part in RSSB’s nationwide modernization efforts aligned with Vision 2050 and NST1.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee branch-level strategic and operational planning
Supervise and manage staff and their performance
Coordinate inspections, audits, and debt recovery from employers
Ensure timely reporting and compliance
Provide branch representation in district-level matters
Approve case dossiers and manage internal records
Identify training needs and support staff development
Analyze reports and monitor branch efficiency
Deliver employer non-debt certificates
Support enforcement and occupational hazards inspections
Required Education and Experience:
Option 1:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Business Law, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
Option 2:
Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role
