Zipline Rwanda operates autonomous fixed-wing drone logistics to deliver medical supplies—including blood, vaccines, medications, nutrition and animal health products—across Rwanda via its network of distribution hubs in Muhanga and Kayonza. They also partner with the Rwanda Development Board to deliver “Made in Rwanda” goods to tourists, supporting conservation and local economic development.
The Country Procurement Lead is responsible for managing and executing procurement strategies that ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This position aligns procurement with Zipline’s strategic business goals, enhances vendor relationships, ensures adherence to company policies, and identifies opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Job Responsibilities
Procurement
Lead procurement processes for equipment, supplies, and services
Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business needs
Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage contracts
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures
Use procurement workflow tools effectively
Vendor Management
Build and maintain supplier relationships
Negotiate contracts and service agreements
Evaluate and optimize vendor performance
Track market trends and explore supplier innovation
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure regulatory and internal policy compliance
Identify and mitigate procurement risks
Coordinate with legal and compliance teams for risk management
Job Requirements
Education
