Norrsken is a Stockholm‑based non‑profit foundation founded in 2016 by Klarna co‑founder Niklas Adalberth, dedicated to supporting impact-driven entrepreneurs. Norrsken House Kigali is East Africa’s largest hub for scaling tech and impact entrepreneurship a 12,000 m² workspace in downtown Kigali that provides co‑working space, event venues, community and networking opportunities for over 1,300 members and more than 300 startups. The foundation also operates impact–focused accelerator programs and investment funds across Africa.
You’ll work directly with the Events & Project Manager and collaborate with the Community & Operations teams to support the full lifecycle of events — from planning to execution:
Assist invent planning and events strategy, discovering what types of events bring the most value to our community.
Assist with outreach and sales efforts to external partners, focusing on driving revenue to take our events to new heights.
Coordinate with external parties such as vendors and external event planners, ensuring a smooth experience for all involved.
Organize event logistics such as catering, entertainment and event setup/teardown
Support during events with greeting attendees, testing and managing A/V equipment, ensuring seamless flow

Recent graduate or final year of university
Familiarity with the basic principles of great event management
Able to commit to this internship for a minimum of 3 to 6 months.
Being based in Kigali, Rwanda to be able to work from Norrsken House Kigali
Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
