The Head of HR is a strategic leadership role responsible for aligning human resource strategies with Access Bank Rwanda’s business goals. The role focuses on driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, HR digital transformation, and leadership development to foster a high-performance culture.
Align HR strategies with the Bank’s objectives.
Lead initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
Partner with line managers on performance-related decisions.
Conduct compensation benchmarking to ensure competitiveness.
Implement employee engagement and mental wellbeing programs.
Promote leadership development through coaching and mentoring.
Oversee succession planning and leadership pipeline.
Respond to employee feedback with strategic HR improvements.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
Lead HR digital transformation to enhance employee experience.
Bachelor’s degree in:
Human Resources
Business Administration
Organizational Psychology
Or a related field
At least 12 years in Human Resources.
Minimum of 8 years in the banking sector.
At least 5 years in a senior management HR role.
Strong leadership and emotional intelligence.
Strategic thinking and decision-making.
Expertise in performance and rewards systems.
Familiarity with HR digital tools and transformation.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
Master’s degree in a related field.
Experience with HR technology implementations.
International HR exposure or certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD).
